Audlem Comes up Trump

At a meeting yesterday at Nantwich Civic Hall, Cheshire East were making available a £30,000 fund for health related projects based on voting from residents who attended the ceremony.

Audlem submitted three bids namely:

• Audlem Community fitness Club( APhax Annexe) – Presentation by Ben Clark and Adriana Roscoe
• Integrated All Age Community Activity for Older People ( ADCA) – Presentation by Roger Millns, Jessie our famous village poet, and Rose Consterdine
• Cycle Map for Audlem & District ( ADAPT) – Presentation by Pete Marshall and his good lady Jane with "Lycra Man" Chris Knibbs

All three groups gave very professional presentations and all three succeeded in being voted the funds they requested. Very well done to all!

All the groups deserve a tremendous vote of thanks from our village for their hard work for the benefit of our community

Of course AudlemOnline would like to think it played a modest part in promoting the bids over the last week and encouraging village supporters to attend the meeting and vote. We think nearly 50% of attendees were from Audlem!

Now that really is community spirit in action. It means that out of the £30,000 on offer for Nantwich and District, a massive £12,265 is coming to Audlem to support three village projects.
