As we reported on Sunday morning, both the River Weaver and Audlem Brook were near to record levels after recent heavy rain and the rapid thaw which saw all the recent snow disappear that day.
It all has to go somewhere and most ended up in the Weaver which saw the local flood plain hard at work. We are indebted to Roy Plume for these photos of Audlem Brook near to the village when water levels were just about at their peak.
Roy says: "A few photos from School Lane Sunday morning. Not the highest it's been, but the highest for a long while."
