Amphibious running Group

Audlem running group completed its first 'aquathlon' this week. Feeling frustrated by the usual clement weather conditions of their weekly Saturday morning run, the group decided they needed a new challenge and so around one third of this morning's 5 miles were completed as an optional swim.

Most of Audlem appeared blissfully unaware of the semi-aquatic feat taking place outside as the eight intrepid runners bobbed by windows displaying TV footage of the England v New Zealand match.

Today's run has also prompted a potential name change from 'Audlem' to 'Amphibious' running group.

In addition to the usual health and social benefits, today had an added nostalgic dimension where runners agreed that laughter and being childlike (read running through VERY big puddles) really are a tonic.

Audlem/Amphibious running group meets every Saturday morning at 8.30am in the car park next to the GP surgery. We look forward to seeing you there.

Audlem running group is participating in a park run on Saturday 2nd November so will meet at the earlier time of 8.10am to drive to Alderford or runners can meet at the venue.
