Andy Davidson of ARS, or Audlem Ramblers Society write to say: "After our last great adventure up Cnicht (the Welsh Matterhorn), it was decided that we would have a go at the Trespass Trail in the Peak District."

"This trail was opened up this year to celebrate the mass trespass on Kinder that took place 75 years ago in April 1932. This event is now recognised as the catalyst for the creation of our national parks and our present "right to roam"

"The full walk is 14 miles, but we can shorten this by several miles by either a strategically placed car or by leaving some people in a pub and returning for them later. Alternatively, some stonger walkers might want to divert over Kinder Scout and catching a train back to our starting point at New Mills – decision to be made on the day or whilst walking. Full details of the walk can be found on the excellent website kindertrespass.com

"It's an 8.00am start at Audlem car park on Saturday 9th June. By the way, it will be compulsory to sing Manchester Rambler on this walk – the lyrics are on the website!"
