Last Saturday's Long ARS walk was led by Anton Woolford.
After a touch-and go ascent by car through thick slush to Teggs Nose the walk led through the snowy landscapes through and above the Macclesfield Forest, pausing at Forest Chapel before the long climb
to the top of Shuttlingsloe.
Early mist cleared for glorious views from the summit. The descent through thick snow allowed some members a chance to be children again. The descent continued to Bottoms Reservoir and the final climb back to the cars. It was an excellent day though the last climb was a test of mind over body!
