APC backs AFC

Monday's Audlem Parish Council meeting saw a lively debate about whether funds should be provided to back Audlem Football Club.

It looked for a time as if a decision was to be put off to the Finance Committee meeting later this month until a proposal to pay £370.25 to Audlem FC to cover the club's current deficit was put forward with a future grant to be discussed at the finance meeting.

This was agreed by a majority with three councillors opposing.
