On Sunday 7th December Audlem Guides and Brownies hosted an "Angels and Shepherds" afternoon for all the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides in Nantwich District at the Parish Church and the Scout and Guide Hall.

One hundred and forty children and leaders enjoyed crafts with an angels and shepherds theme for the first hour. We then had a lovely service led by Rev Helen Chantry and the Audlem senior section of Guides, where we were pleased to be joined by members of the Trefoil Guild and our County Commissioner.

To end the afternoon everyone enjoyed a meal of – you guessed it – shepherd's pie and angel delight in the Guide Hall. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the members of Girl Guiding UK to come together to celebrate the Christmas message.

Thank you to Helen for suggesting the theme, to everyone who helped prepare the food, and to all the Audlem Guiders who gave up their precious time. We thoroughly enjoyed planning this event, but are unlikely to fancy a portion of shepherd's pie for some months!
