Excitement in the village around teatime on Friday as not just one, but two, air ambulances were seen circling Audlem.
It transpires that they were on hand after local resident Peter Kay suffered a fall at his home, which, we are told, resulted in a dislocated shoulder, some facial cuts and a touch of concussion.
The problem seems to have been exacerbated by having to extract Peter from where he had fallen which involved fire and rescue services as well as the air ambulance.
Anyway Peter was whisked off to hospital where he has recovered consciousness but is being kept in at least overnight for observation.
Brenda, Peter's wife, is being helped at home by friends and relatives.
We all wish Peter a speedy recovery from his injuries.
