The ADCA Coronavirus Home Support Service is ramping up, and everyone needs to know about it.
But... wonderful though AudlemOnline is (three cheers for our Editors and the Techies), THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE who are not regular, or even occasional, readers!!!
So – how to reach them???? We call on the Lycra Lads, of course!
Official Lockdown guidelines allow them out once a day for 'exercise', and what better exercise could there be than to ride briskly round the area (strictly local) and plop a lovely ADCA leaflet into every letterbox? Look at that huge smile on Chris Knibbs' face!
Two of the Lycra Lads – Steve Elliott and John Down – couldn't be persuaded to send us a picture of their lithe forms in delivery action (I tried!) but were willing to share some observations they made as they toured the wilder fringes of Audlem and District:
as many people were at home, we couldn't help noticing a correlation between barn conversions and the presence of, um... let's call them 'premium SUVs', mostly British and German marques!
I really do need a softer bike saddle.
Some people go to extreme lengths to protect their property – see photo!
