ADCA Coffee Club next month

Following the successful takeover of the running of the Tuesday Day Care at Thornton House by ADCA (Audlem and District Community Action), a new venture is to be started.

This will be a Thursday Coffee Club, also at Thornton House. This is designed to appeal to the more mature (one hesitates to say "older") Audlem & District residents who would like to gather for a morning of chat, discussion and a cup of coffee. The regular sessions will start from Thursday July 28th, from 10am to 12noon.

On Thursday, July 21st there will be a special Coffee Club at Thornton house to discuss with people what they would like to get from the Coffee club and also to provide an opportunity for potential volunteers to come and talk to ADCA about what their contribution might be.

VolunteersVolunteers are needed in several areas

• To help run the new Coffee Club venture
• To become volunteer drivers to help older people who are not easily mobile to get to ADCA activities
• To register an interest in a "befriending" service which it is hoped to strart later in the year.
• ....and while there are sufficient volunteers to run the Tuesday Day Care at the moment, it is always good to have others waiting in the wings or available for covering holidays, etc.
