You may have noticed over the last couple of weeks that ADAS has slowly been getting the village beds and borders ready for winter. After a glorious summer of colour, which successfully survived the dry conditions with the help of a dedicated watering team of Ralph, Neil and Mike, the time came to strip out the summer bedding plants and get ready for the winter and the spring ahead.

The ADAS team, with the welcome support of Patricia Winfield, Lorraine Joynson, Suzanne Poole, Jan Evans and local Brownies and Cubs, have been planting winter pansies and spring bulbs throughout the village. The weather has been kind and we managed to complete the planting in the big beds and troughs over the weekend with further tubs being completed during the last couple of weeks.

The involvement of the Brownies and Cubs was a great success with four volunteering to do an extra hour on the Saturday! We look forward to welcoming them back to help with the Spring planting.
