The June meeting of environmental group ADAPT, (Audlem and District Acting Positively for Transition), will take place on Wednesday 1st June at 7.30pm at the Baptist Church.

This month Dr. John Hegarty of Keele University will give a talk entitled, 'Nature connectedness and self healing: a talk on what ecopsychology can do for you'

Ecopsychology connects psychology and ecology. According to biologist E.O. Wilson, human beings have an innate instinct to emotionally connect to nature. We can all identify with the benefits of spending time in natural settings and are fortunate to live in a such a beautiful place.

Dr. Hegarty's talk will be a great opportunity to explore the health benefits our environment can provide and the ways we can protect our natural world.

Everyone is welcome. The presentation will last for about 45 minutes and visitors can then choose to stay on for the formal ADAPT meeting or melt into the night!

ADAPT monthly meetings with speakers are held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Baptist Church in Audlem at 7.30pm. If you would like to go on our mailing list or would like to know more about ADAPT, contact Susan on 811092 or at runaways@hotmail.co.uk">runaways@hotmail.co.uk.
