Successful Apple Pressing on Saturday

The first time ADAPT has held an apple pressing session in a public place drew an interested crowd and about ten people arrived laden with fruit for pressing. You bring the apples and go away with the juice!

One carrier bag of apples gave roughly one bottle of juice. The group have purchased the equipment to do this each year.
It was nice to see that others like to make the most of the crop on the trees they are lucky to have in their gardens and not leave them lying to be mowed over by a noisy petrol mower!

Anyone in sympathy with ADAPT's aims of reducing air miles and fossil fuel consumption, growing your own food and informing others about climate change is very welcome to come to our next meeting this Wednesday 7th in the Baptist chapel at 7.30pm, free cup of tea or coffee awaits!
