Accident in Stafford Street

We were alerted to an collision in Stafford Street by a Chatbox post and asked if anyone had witnessed it.

As a result, another Chatbox arrived from LS which said: "The accident happened outside our house at about 5pm Thursday; the lorry was heading into the village and some idiot overtook him just after the School Lane/Salford junction.

"The motorcyclist was heading in the opposite direction out of the village and was forced to break hard in wet conditions when he was faced with a car on his side of the road! He and his bike ended up under the front of the lorry!

"It's a miracle he walked away with just bruises, the police and paramedics attended the scene, the idiot that overtook the lorry did not stop to see the aftermath of his/her stupidity, I am not sure what if any further action is being taken."

Did anyone else see what happened? If so, it may be worth ringing 101 in case the police are interested in taking further action.
