A525 closure today (Tuesday)

The last major disruption caused by the work on the electricity supply round the village takes place today (Tuesday).

The A525 will be closed between the junction with Green Lane and Moorsfield Avenue and beyond.

Residents will have some limited access (although even this may have to be closed off for short periods) but there will be no through traffic.

The electricity supply will also be cut off to those residential properties already notified. It is hoped to restore the supply by late afternoon, but clearly this will depend on no unforeseen hitches in the work.

At the Parish Council meeting last night, Steve Allcock of Scottish Power and his team were thanked for their efforts. Although there have been one ot two glitches in the process it has for the main part gone very well.
