Firstly, I'd like to thank Alex Titchener and company for making me so welcome at my first session of this newly formed group. I really enjoyed meeting you all and am looking forward to future sessions and getting to know you all even better.

I'm fairly new to the village and this allowed me to get some exercise, not too strenuous mind, and make new friends.

Come along and give it a try. I can heartily recommend it to all.

Ann Tilling on Thursday's Meeting

30th April 2022 @ 4:50pm

I would just like to record my appreciation to the councillors who arranged the meeting on Thursday and ensured it was quorate.
I do understand that they are unable to give more informaton than they did but feel more confident that this bad spell is behind us.
It is to be hoped that enough interest is generated to both ensure a healthy concil and a equally healthy set of supporters to keep that position.

Marianne on Lamb in field at moss hall

29th April 2022 @ 12:57pm

There is a lamb in the field at moss hall farm not far from the walkers path. It looks lame or like it's got a broken leg but the gentleman who cares for the lambs and sheep is treating the lamb and did put it there to rest and enjoy the grass. Just wanted to reassure anyone who sees the lamb not to panic like I did!!

Kimberley Walley on Vintage Cars/Tractors for Jubilee Celebrations

28th April 2022 @ 11:52am

Hello Audlem!

I wondered if any of our Neighbours have any vintage cars/tractors/transport that would be interested in joining the Jubilee parade in Madeley on 4th June.

There will be floats courtesy of the local schools and groups and we would love to see the wider community get involved.

The Parade starts at 11am from All Saints Church and ends at Madeley High School. There, the Parish Council are hosting a spectacular carnival – there will be games, entertainment, food and drink and many local businesses exhibiting. For more information please contact me directly, or take a look at https://fb.me/e/2cxuhYjg3

Thank you in advance
Kimberley

Billy Gibbons on Street cleaner vacancy

27th April 2022 @ 7:49am

I might apply for the job.....at least it'll keep me off the streets. Also, I remember playing at a venue in the Village and a couple of people shouted 'Rubbish'! Maybe it's meant to be! ;-)

Brian Critchley on Village Butcher

26th April 2022 @ 2:44pm

A big "Hats off" to Alan at Oxtail and Trotter – He kept his business going and kept us going too with his home deliveries during the lock-downs..............We can't thank him enough for that. I had to add those comments but we couldn't leave it at that without saying that just yesterday we had the most delicious chicken stir- fry ( apologies to any vegetarians-but there are things there for you too with his fresh vegs ,breads and confectionery) He has a choice selection of quality meats and is a brilliant example of a hands-on butcher and an invaluable asset to us all. So may we say a big thank you to you Alan and your staff and long may you continue as our Village Butcher.
Brian and Elizabeth .

Firstly, my very best wishes to Gavin on his well-earned retirement. Secondly, regarding the vacancy that has now been triggered for a street cleaner I was wondering if any formal training would be given, or would you just be expected to pick it up as you went along?

Carol Palin on Audlem Bowling Club
