Congratulations Judy, Brian and all Staff on achieving this prestigious award, you all deserve this for running a wonderful service for the village and its residents. This means very early morning hours for newspapers. I call you the first stop shop.
If its not in stock you will do your utmost to get it for people and always with a smile. Thank you for a great support to the village and anyone passing through here.

Judging by the traffic chaos in the village this is only going to get worse, road closure or no road closure !
3 wasp nests sorted.
2 fully removed and an inaccessible one sprayed.
Thanks Chris at Paul Jones Pest Control.
Especially considering it's a Bank Holiday evening.
Thank you so much for the speedy response which has enabled me to cut the grass and return it to a pleasant green space- much appreciated
I was under the impression that the closure of the Wellington to Nantwich railway line, via Audlem, had been decided on some time before Dr Beeching was involved. Certainly, Audlem (and Market Drayton) station are not included in his report "The Reshaping of British Railways" as stations to be closed. I'm sure someone locally, such as Jeremy Nicholls, will know for sure. But this time, I don't think we can blame Dr Beeching, although it might be popular to do so!
I was lucky enough to be taken to a performance by Flanders and swan, a tremendous duo and so many memorable songs. An evening never to be forgotten.

Appreciate the work is dependent on volunteers but given it's been weeks since the fantastic transport event took place could we have the barriers collected please. The grass cutting contractors are mowing around them.
Well done to all the organisers and helpers! Must have been a lot of work but it was very successful, really good variety of stalls. Hope everyone had a good day.
Probably the worst decision ever made that changed Audlem for the worse regarding transport the thought of hopping on to the train to do your shopping in either Nantwich or Market Drayton,in these modern times of anti car anti oil there was definitely a bright future for Audlem railway station if only we had the kind of protests today maybe Beeching would've thought twice about closing Audlem railway station
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Village Fête Committee are lacking a small generator for this event , next Sunday, 27th August. If you have one which you would be prepared to lend us please contact asap 07866700124 or 07760225218
Your help would be much appreciated
Hi, does anyone know if the open garden weekend is still on
What a pity I think that it was a brilliant idea linking all the villages and towns, Cheshire has so much to offer and I think that the "weaver valley park " name was a fantastic name

Yes, your husband is welcome to join our group. All from the Audlem area who play 5/6 aside every Thursday 6pm at Maurice Chandler Sports Centre Ternhill. If he (and anyone else interested) sends a message to Paul – 07973658933, I'll add him to the what's app group.
Please Bob don't for one second think I do not appreciate what this great couple have done as I said numerous times in my post. Just thought a group such as ADAPT who are trying to make a difference with the climate, this sort of thing would be a great way for them to use the money they take on a Saturday to make a real difference.
Well said Bob.
As Steve Jobs once said : you can please some of the people some of the time.
A very big flying thank you to Olive and Geoff for financing out of their own pockets the two new full size flags for our village.
The Union Flag and the St. George Cross.
Both Olive and Geoff are an enormous asset to Audlem and I will think o them whenever I see the flags flying from afar.
Does anyone know if the The Priest House shop will be opening again as it says closed but does not give a date for reopening?
Well said Bob I couldn't agree more
Great work Olive send Jeff Once more you have come up trumps . Specially with the St George Flag . If John Jennings really wants environmentally friendly flags he can buy them in the future . As a village we should be grateful to Olive and JEFF for all they have done in the past .Mostly unsung I might add .
Hello,
We have recently moved to the area and my husband is looking to play either 5/6 or 7 a side football – are there any local teams with spaces please? 😊
I'd totally forgotten about the 'essence ' on George's ice cream Billy, though I think we used to call it juice (?) I wonder if George would impart the famous recipe?
I remember seeing him keeping warm on the stove in the shop, I don't know if it's the one there now, I'm sure it was coal fired.
* I meant 1970's....not 1870's. ;-)
What a fantastic donation to make to the village. I must just make one note however these flags are available in a much more environmentally friendly natural material. Maybe in the future money raised on ADAPTs Saturday market could be put to some use and spent on a green alternative to these flags made from oil derived products. Again this is a fantastic thing for a really great couple to have done and I'm not taking anything away from that just a thought about future flags.
How sad the first two topics on AOL today concerned Both Vandalism and fly tipping. Audlem deserves better

ADCA provides an amazing luncheon/social meeting every Tuesday aimed at senior members of the local community who could otherwise become isolated and lonely. The group provides a perfect platform for the members to interact with others and ADCA do our very best to make the day as interesting and varied as possible.
So if you feel you could spare up to one hour for just one Tuesday morning would you be prepared to come to the group and share with them something that may be of interest to you. It could be anything from a hobby or travel stories to maybe an interesting career or experiences of the war maybe of being evacuated within the local area . If your talent is more musical based maybe playing an instrument or singing or magic tricks we would really love to hear from you too.
A little bit of your time could really make a difference so please get in contact if you could help
