Our ring door bell picked up on a strange man dressed up in what seems to be female clothing, a handbag and carrying a blanket. He was seen approaching people's houses and looking through their windows and getting into a white car and driving away at around 1:15am this morning. He's been seen on a few of our neighbours ring door bells also and reported to the police. This was on and around McKelvey Way.
Just a heads up, keep your eyes and ears open and your doors / sheds locked.
I have used Anthony Jess and was very pleased with his work and reliability 07913 533859

Who is the clerk at Audlem cemetery?
Surefire Pest Control 07957 856978 surefirepestcontrol.co.uk Used them a couple of times very good
The comments are not correct. Only one tree was attended to on Saturday with good reason and the 2 Trees with a TPO are fine and will remain so.
We would have been pleased to chat and reassure you as you walked past if you had wanted to.
Can anyone recommend a roofer who might be able to do some repairs for us?
Specifically, some mortar has fallen out from the pointing on the gable end of the roof and needs to be replaced. The weatherboard needs to be rubbed down and resealed. And finally, there are three broken slates that need to be replaced.
The building is a 2-storey hay barn, with a slate roof.
Thank you!
Hi,
We have just used Craig Hough of CH Plastering who is based in Nantwich. He was absolutely brilliant, prompt, efficient, tidy and did an excellent job re-plastering around a window.

The tree Lucy mentions is a Turkey Oak. It is about 150yrs+ old. Turkey Oaks were brought from the Mediterranean in the 18th-19th century, as a quick growing wood to replace our English Oaks used in ship-building etc. There are three of the species around Turnpike Fields and can be distinguished from the English Oak or the Sessile (Welsh) Oak by having pointed ends to the leaves (some say like Turkey feet). When the trees had grown it was discovered that the wood is no good for ship building as the wood splits easily! In a tree survey in 2019 the tree was described as "An excellent specimen. Single stemmed with a balanced crown. Good vigour and no major visible defects."
Is there anyone local who can get rid of a wasps nest in the eaves at the back of my house
Hi
Can anyone recommend a reliable plasterer please.
Many thanks
I've just been for my weekly Sunday morning stroll whilst walking past beach tree house on Woore road near mount pleasant I've noticed a large number of trees have been removed from the property. I'm sure these trees have tree protection orders on them. Can someone advise on the best people to contact about this. It's horrible to see such beautiful tree removed from anywhere.
Another post to recommend Chris at Paul Jones Pest Control. On day I contacted him, he was willing to attend same evening to deal with a wasp's nest in the eaves of house. We've used him in previous years and he certainly knows his wasps.

I've seen a lot of Audlem bigs trees disappear over the years would be very sad if this magnificent specimen would cut down

Great news well deserved !
Road closed today just past Brine Leas heading in to Nantwich. With the food festival tomorrow too?
The barrier at Salford next to bowling green, was uncollected as of yesterday afternoon.
