I agree that it was good to see the festival take place and to see Turnpike Field utilised as a camping field. Less positive to see 7 bin liners of rubbish still there nearly a week after the start of the event and other litter scattered on the field.
Hi Janet, I was just wondering if you had any information on when/if Praise and Play will start again? Thanks
Hi Adrian, my wife has recently inherited her parents slides from the 60's but has nothing to view them on so would be interested in one of these. We can be contacted on Han.co@btinternet.com or 07471500945. Thanks Mike
In this age of digital photography, we have found ourselves with two 35mm slide projectors and recall that some time ago, there was a post on Audlem Online from someone looking for similar equipment.
We have a 1960's Aldis Aldisette and a 1970's (probably) Hanimex La Ronde RF Automatic – both boxed with the original manuals.
Both seem to work as they should so if anyone locally could make use of them, please get in touch for more information.
Fully agree with all the posts about our lost posties. Not only have we lost lovely caring people but already the service has slipped ( I assume not the fault of the new guy ) Our post arrives mid afternoon instead of mid morning. Not a massive problem in itself but an indication of a cheapening of the service?
Many thanks to all who helped the continuation of the Audlem music festival be a success
Adam Rodda and his staff did an amazing job
And a big thanks to Jody Jennings for arranging such fine entertainment
The bands were all brilliant
Thanks from all our family for a great Bank holiday weekend
Here's to next year x
If anyone finds a SKODA key, could they call 07786 516961 please. Lost anywhere along the bridal path from Monks Lane to the village or along the tow path besides the Shroppie. Thank you 🤞
yes the music were excessive , could hear the music in Buerton, and we were indoors and tv on thought it was coming from windmill lane though, funny how sound travels.
Well done to Adam and his team at the Bridge for a superb music festival. The atmosphere was great, brilliant music and all staff were so welcoming and pleasant. I hope your charity benefits well.
Heard the fireworks myself . Wonderful to hear people enjoying themselves. Bring on the wedding venue. Could be a nice little earner for our local students
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. Should be able to get something sorted.
Regards, Steve
Hi Kelly-Ann, that's excellent news, its exactly what I was looking for. Can you contact me via Facebook (Gambler Rock-Band) so we can arrange Pick-Up/Drop-Off please? Thanks, Kevin.
Ref to the fireworks on Sunday night, I can 100% confirm that they did not come from Hankelow Hall, I believe that they came from somewhere in Hankelow but NOT Hankelow hall.
I can assure people that the fireworks on Sunday night were not at Hankelow Hall.
Hi
My son and friends aged 15 have started a band and are now looking at playing live. This would really help them to get up and running.
We could hear all the music and firewoks in Buerton. The proposal for the Wedding venue has to be defeated.
They were from Hankelow Hall I believe there was a dance party/event on all weekend.
And we're on the anwyl estate and it could be heard inside our homes too...let's hope the wedding venue does not get the go ahead by Corbrook as I can only imagine how loud and disruptive that will be.
Hankelow hall is approx 2000m as the crow flys from our house and we could feel and hear the bass from the the rave right upto 10pm curfew, not to mention the charge of the light brigade fireworks.
The proposed wedding marquee at the parks is 450m from ours and expects to be able to run until 1am, 7 nights a week, unbelievable!
We live on Monks Lane and could hear the music, especially the drum beat in our front room, with the windows closed and the TV on.
What were the fireworks for on Sunday night and set off from where?- definitely the loudest display for quite some time.
Hello Megan
Ant kindly passed on his mobile number to me, so I will alert him to your post on AoL.
Rachel
Sunday evening sat in the garden listening to the fabulous Gamblers at the Bridge music festival.....WOW!
Plus what a truly magnificent offer of the free PA system etc to an up and coming Gamblers 2!
Well done guys and tremendous thanks for some memorable classics, we are singing and dancing round the garden :-)
Also to the Bridge for organising a great event.
It must be lovely to play at the Music Festival. Just wondering; do you have to ask to play or wait to be asked?
Just to let people in Buerton village know that the proposed new sewage pumping station at bottom of festival avenue will result in major upheavals with construction traffic . And those with vistas across fields will have a lovely view of said station , if interested as this is scheduled to start in Feb even though not submitted to planning yet ??should go on United Utilities web site and look at plans. If concerned contact them and Cheshire east planning portal after 31 August . No doubt the People along side Audlem sewage works have similar concerns . Thank you
HI, its Kevin from local band GAMBLER. We just upgraded our PA System and I wonder if there are any local young folks, perhaps just starting a band or planning to, that would like our "old" Speakers, power amp and cables FOC.
