May I draw residents' attention to new revised plans for the wedding venue at The Parkes, Monks, Lane (see 'Revised Plans' up loaded on 22nd November 2021 – search Cheshire East Planning Portal – application reference 21/3505N). Some comments have already been made by concerned members of the public. Any comments are to be made by 6 December 2021. Issues regarding noise can also be e mailed to: EnvironmentalProtection2@cheshireeast.gov.uk. I hope this assists – I suspect the majority of village residents who may still be adversely affected will not have received notification of these new plans.
Can anyone recommend someone to help with our ironing please?
Approximately one laundry basket every two weeks.

Has he been triple jabbed and will he be wearing a mask? asking for a friend
Sorry Lesley. You said you have seen it, not got it with you. My fault.
Hello Lesley. Is the Labrador a male please?
Agree Chris!!
I was going to send a message into chatbox regarding the BBC comment. I stopped listening to their propaganda some time ago.
Colin, you seem to be suffering a severe case of lagomorphitis. If you would like specialist help I can recommend an excellent leporidiatrist skilled in treating such afflictions. They might also be able to treat any occurrence of cottontail afflicting you or indeed oryctolagus cuniculus although I believe a combination of myxomatosis and calicivirus have greatly reduced the probability of that.
I doubt you can Brer more rabbit talk, but if you so I suggest you approach Chas and Dave.
If anyone has lost a black lab, I have just seen one without a collar on the bridle way by Spout Farm
" editor's note:- we have been aware for some time of this, but our policy is to await official notice of such matters until it is confirmed by the BBC or other reputable journalistic sources." The BBC has become a tad biased and not that reputable of late€
Dear editor, in response to your question of whether the puns could get any worse? Well, let me assure you that they could have. I maybe should have mentioned that Mr Burrows was accompanied by his wife Jessica and 2 sons Peter and Warren. Mrs Burrows (who was originally from Whithutch) was very insistent I took a reward. I said gnaw way did I want anything but she just pelted me with chocolates, sweets and strangely Duracell batteries. It was so annoying and I got so angoray that I just wanted to thumper, but I didn't and they left which is good because I have completely run out puns, which bugs me. So as they say, that's your lop.
My wife and and I would like to add to the praise for the Stirling job medical practice has been doing , re flu jab roll out ,and especially during this pandemic , almost carrying on as usual , Where as many practices in surrounding area , you still cannot see a doctor , or go near the practice , well done to all the staff ,
Fully endorse Bob's comments.
Chris
Well said Elisabeth We are so lucky to be looked after by such a good team at the Medical Centre
Hi Terry, no I think you must be mistaken, as I can assure you a Mr Burrows from Hopley (a chap with mad hare) claimed said bunny, he was very grateful and offered me 2 bucks for my trouble but I said no, put your doe back in your pocket.
Are you sure that bunny has really been reunited with his family Colin? I only ask because I was sure I saw a lighted barbecue in your garden this evening followed a little later by a loud burp. If I now see lucky rabbit's feet on sale in Williams I think we'll all know where they came from!
Unfortunately in editing my admittedly long post the webteam have taken out the urls I put in as evidence of statements made. Since some of the criticism of Mr McGregor's posts was that he didn't supply urls you have undermined my position.
Furthermore, the final section has been truncated in a way that means it no longer makes sense.
Please would you either delete this somewhat mangled version of my original post and print my original one or just delete this one. I don't want the version you've printed to remain on the site under my name.
A huge shout out to Doctor Holden and the team for their stirling effort once again this evening for another flu vaccine roll out for absolutely dozens of locals..probably the last thing they wanted to do after a long day in the surgery was to throw open the doors on a freezing cold day!
I am pleased to say the lost rabbit was claimed by its owners today and they all lived happily ever after
Can anyone please recommend a joiner to carry out repairs to our summerhouse doors, windows etc.
to restore it to its former glory when designed and built in 1985?
Thank you in anticipation.
Hi Ken I have had a look in the daylight and he is still dark grey, did I mention when I caught it it was hopping mad
Are you sure it's ok Colin as it was dark when you caught it and it is now light grey ??
A large grey pet rabbit was found on Paddock lane last night, it seems Ok but it was very dark when I caught it
Recently I sang the praises of the new bus service but this time I have to report a negative.
Three of us used the service into Nantwich and booked a return at the same time. The return pick up point was outside the Talbot pub where we have been collected before. Just before the allotted time I received the usual text to let me know the arrival time. We had strategically had a final drink in the Crown so we could nip around the corner .
The text read "Your journey is on it's way and is 3 minutes away- Pickup: Railway Station" What!
With a pair of running shoes, a following wind and perhaps 20 years ago I could perhaps have made it. With a belly full of food and one or two pints the original collection point was doable, just! No choice but to cancel. I couldn't rebook due to high demand, according to the app, so I had no choice other than to book a £20 taxi ride.
Disappointed and my faith in the system has taken a knock.
