The Audlem Zen Meditation Group meets on Mondays at 8pm. Zen is a form of Buddhism that emphasises meditation as a part of daily life. In recent years, 'mindfulness' training has become popular, and this is mostly based on Buddhist practices, particularly zen. To practise zen meditation, you don't have to believe anything special, you just have to sit!

We are a group of runners, from beginners to fast runners. We meet on Saturdays, rain or shine, at 8:30 a.m. on the Audlem car park and do a maximum 5 mile (fun)-run around the Audlem countryside and canal towpaths. The activity starts with a 10min warm-up and finishes with another 10min stretch. Participation is fully voluntary. We operate a 'muster' system to cater for all forms of fitness, such that faster runners can run ahead, and at the same time, we leave no one behind !
Hence, if you are a runner, or fancy giving it a go or want to join a group of friends, then come and join us on one of these Saturdays.
