A lady contacted Audlem Online this evening about a couple of dogs that she came across running around on the road in the area between Corbrook Court and Hankelow. Neither dog appeared to be wearing a collar and they both seemed to be distressed.

She reports that she stopped her car and managed to catch one of the dogs. Unfortunately she wasn't able to catch the other one which looked as if it might be a Jack Russell. The one she caught was small with brown and white fur. She took it to the RSPCA centre at Stapeley Grange near Nantwich. They were unable to take the dog in, but they checked it over and ascertained that it wasn't injured. They then explained that they would send it to a nearby dog pound. As far as we know, the other dog is still loose in the Corbrook Court area.

If you think the dog that has been rescued might be yours please contact the RSPCA on their emergency number: 0300 123 0722.
