Guidance on how to register and object to Planning Application 25/2194/OUT through the Cheshire East Planning Portal

1 If you have registered previously, with Cheshire East for bins etc, or to object to or communicate with CEC then you already have an account with them. Just go to Cheshire East website and sign into your Cheshire East Account.

2 If you haven t ever registered, then it is easy. Go to Cheshire East Home website, and create a Cheshire East Account enter First and last name, add your address, phone number ( mobile OR home ), create a user name by entering your email address and create a password ( 9 characters long with at least 1 Upper case, 1 lower case and 1 number eg Audlem124 etc). You must have registered at least 3 days in advance as it takes time for Cheshire East to register, check your details and upload them as a registered voter to allow you to access the site to post online any objection.

3 Whilst hard copy letters are allowed, please note that the Planning officer, Dan Evans, has said that postal objections take longer as they must go through several checks then transcribed onto the website. The Address for Cheshire East Planning is PO Box 606, Municipal Buildings, Crewe, CW1 9HP or we will be circulating and collecting postal letters in the last week. You can email Phil Dolan or Debbie Ruscoe and ask for your handwritten letter to be collected and we will ensure your objection is delivered to Cheshire East.

4 The most effective letter is one that is written uniquely, ie not cut and pasted. Concentrate on the 4-6 headings from the sheet provided that you believe affect you most eg Transport & Congestion, Medical facilities & Education, Loss of Agricultural land etc and, using some of the information and policy numbers (feel free to Google them and you will be able to read what the Policies say so you can understand the reasoning behind it) write a short paragraph per heading saying you believe this development will have a detrimental impact on the subject in the heading and that you believe this application should be refused by all means cite the Policy you believe this comes under.

5 You can use ChatGPT, but you must upload certain information such as policy number, application number etc so the A1 Bot can write using terms of reference eg write a 120 word paragraph on objecting to Cheshire East Planning application 25/2194/OUT citing Cheshire East Policy PG6 Open Countryside heading would be Open Countryside Protection
