Our president, Glenys Inight welcomed everyone to the meeting.

After singing Jerusalem, she reminded members that all future meetings would be in the afternoon starting at 2.00pm

Two large sacks of blister packs had been sent for recycling, and it was decided that we continue to collect them. The “Dental Health Matters“ campaign had been well supported, and a large bag of dental items had been collected and Rosalind agreed to take them to the Food Bank for us.

The visit to David Wilson Homes had been confirmed and we will be going on Friday August 15th at 2.00pm to see their Show Home where their Interior designer will give us a talk.

Diane asked members if they would like tickets for The Malbank Autumn Group Meeting which is on Tuesday September 16th at 7.30pm when the speaker will be Lady Anne Dodd – widow of the late Ken Dodd. Tickets (£10)

The competition to be a programme from a Liverpool Theatre.

Members were reminded about the “Moulton Glass” workshop on Friday 24th October. 2pm -4pm. The cost will be £6.00 and needs to be paid in September.

The next round of the Bowls Competition is on Friday August 15th – we wish the team Good Luck.

The Luncheon Club are meeting at The Farmers Arms, Ravensmoor on Friday 8th August 12noon for 12.30pm.

Darts practice will be at the home of Rosie Lomas on 13th August at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome to go and have a go.

There is NO walk this month.

At Nantwich Show we won First and Third prizes – Congratulations to all. Glenys thanked everyone who had taken part in any way and thanked Rosie for hosting the meetings.

Then on to the “Craft Evening” there were four crafts members could take part in.

Members went round trying new crafts and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Denise Fisher gave the vote of thanks.

The competition for a Rose was won by Ann Pye.

We then had tea and cake, and the raffle was drawn.

The end of a super evening.

Our next meeting on Friday 5th September at 2.00pm when we have a Caricaturist talking to us. There will also be a Bring and Buy.
