Audlem's Neighbourhood Plan was considered on Tuesday by Cheshire East's Housing and Planning meeting.

The councillors' decision was that approval be given to the response to the Audlem Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan and that the Parish Council be asked to consider the recommendations made.

The council's consultant's recommendations can be read by clicking on the PDF beneath the Neighbourhood Plan logo.

The meeting was told that The Localism Act 2011 introduced new legal rights that enabled communities to prepare local development plans (neighbourhood plans) with equal weight to the Local Plan for decision making purposes on development proposals and they were subject to public consultation prior to submission to the Local Planning Authority (known as the Regulation 14 consultation).

Audlem Parish Council has produced a draft neighbourhood plan and is now seeking representation on its content. The consultation allowed for representations to be made and, where appropriate, for the Parish Council to then make amendments to its proposed plan, prior to submission to Cheshire East Council for consideration.

The report detailed the consultation response to the draft Audlem Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan and included the reasons for each recommendation.

It was resolved that approval be given to the response to the Audlem Parish Council Neighbourhood Plan and that the Parish Council be asked to consider the recommendations made.
