I was fortunate enough to dine in at the Lac Thai restaurant on two separate occasions over the festive period, and I have to say what a little gem this place is. Having previously only eaten takeaways from there, to sit in and experience the pleasant ambience and the excellent service was indeed a treat. Excellent food, beautifully presented and served with a beaming smile, is always appreciated. The meals are very reasonably priced, and the portions are quite generous. If you haven't yet tried it, I would strongly recommend it, because as they say, if you don't use it, you'll lose it. Happy New Year, everyone.
Hi Kate
Chris Fennell advertises he does freezer repairs on his website. He’s based in Market Drayton and repaired other appliances in the past for us and always been very good.
Water burst by 32 Heathfield Road. Reported to UU. Beware of black ice forming there and a pot hole now .
Can anyone recommend someone for freezer repairs?
The residents at McKelvey Way, Marshall Drive and Ropewalk Close are being encouraged to complete a simple form to provide a mandate in order to enable the recently formed LPG Task Force to negotiate on behalf of the residents a substantially improved pricing structure than is currently being offered by their default LPG supplier.
It is important that as many residents as possible complete the form as this will give considerable consumer leverage in the negotiations with alternate suppliers.
The current level of sign up is running at 60%. A deal from one supplier is offering a near 40% reduction in gas prices, this will benefit the whole estate.
There will be another drop off of the forms for those not yet signed up. These can be dropped off by hand or emailed to the addresses on the form. At this stage there is no commitment.
The small group driving this initiative have no commercial interests in or financial incentives from any of the LPG suppliers or associated company's other than the price reduction that will apply to everybody.
Happy New Year and stay warm.

Very sad and shocking to hear of the tragic death of Alan Patterson who died in the Baptist Church on Christmas eve. Our thoughts and prayers are with Judy and the family as they grieve his passing, so shortly after his induction as Minister in the church he loved.

Whatever you buy, I suggest a tethered cable and get the longest length possible.

Merry Christmas and thank you to all those involved in producing AOL. What a great website
That's one of the benefits of Brexit Billie.
If you're looking for a reliable setup, I’d suggest checking out Ohme. I use their smart charger and it’s brilliant for saving money on energy bills by charging when rates are lowest. I used one of their recommended installers for the job—the service was professional and I've never had a problem. The app is a great bonus, too.
Highly recomend Lundie Electrical of Nantwich. They have a website with all the details. We had solar panels, battery storage & charging point installed; very satisfied with the work – & Nick is a very agreeable young man.
Can anyone recommend a person to recommend/install an EV charger.
Somehow this was a message that brings back my faith in humanity and serendipity – am picturing an Audlem resident looking sadly at finished jigsaw with hole in, and then their face lighting up when reading this message and them replying eagerly to finish the jigsaw, and maybe celebrating with a glass of mulled wine... I hope the jigsaw and piece are happily reunited!
Than you Carrie for your message about missing puzzle pieces. Sadly we would not have sold your puzzle with a piece missing. We always take donated puzzles home (we have an avid group of about 6 of us) to make sure they are complete before sale.
Keep on puzzling and, of course, donating. Merry Christmas. Helen (Audlem Charity Shop)
It's a long shot but some months ago I sent a lovely jigsaw to Audlem charity shop – Classic Paperbacks. It had 1 missing piece, clearly marked. I've found it! (Not saying I don't pull sofas out for full vacuum very often!!) If, by any chance, you have the puzzle and want to complete it, just let me know.
A few years ago I replaced my 20+ year old Worcester Bosch oil boiler with the same. Excellent job done by chris@shropshireoilandgas.co.uk Tel. 0800 689 1238 He has done the annual service since. I’m very happy with his service.
Can I also recommend A Star Taxis (Crewe)? Last weekend a planned trip home from Heathrow by rail had to be abandoned due to medical problem.
Having seen A Star recommendations on Chatbox I rang them at 1pm on Sunday, requesting a collection from Heathrow at 9:15am next morning. Efficient and friendly response, all-in price quoted immediately (seemed reasonable), basically "no problem". Collection was made on time by friendly driver. Great service.
Many thanks Chris.
I can recommend Albion Heating & Plumbing (07775 746579) info@albionheating.co.uk Has been servicing my Firebird for 3 years now
Totally agree with Jeremy's suggestion of taking the train from Crewe direct to Manchester Airport! It takes a lot of pressure off your journey and, in my case, you arrive at Manchester Airport refreshed and relaxed, ready to get singled out and took to one side by Security for having turn-up's on your jeans. Not just at Manchester Airport though, the same at Singapore and Perth! Lesson learned; next time go dressed 'normal' although to be honest, I thought I was dressed normal...it was everybody else that looked odd. ;-)
Looking for recommendations please for the above. System keeps losing pressure up to four times daily.
