Yes, children and dogs are taken on a walk, but canal boats! Could the cause be exhaustion – too long a walk maybe?
A buy sell posting leads to someone coming and taking away something you had meant to get rid of for ages! Delight all round.
Does anyone know of a hedge cutting contractor using a tractor?
Need work candle lane area woore
Great to see clean up and reinstatement activity on the park this morning but how many times and at what cost does this have to be repeated? Surely the significant damage to the trees and shrubbery is criminal damage and preventative action should be taken.
Carol I always use Fawcett Fresh for carpet and upholstery cleaning, excellent work and good prices, he is

I would like to add my voice to support Andrew's post about about his excellent farm shop; I know they recently suffered from the repeated road closures so need all our support...We are regulars and enjoy many wonderful fresh produce items from them, from veg to seafood, chicken and fresh VERY local meats (delicious lamb often from a farm on Coole lane, for example!) and they have a superb array of nice things to eat plus great wines & beers plus desserts and all sorts of treats. The cafe is also really nice for anything from just a cuppa to a full meal and anything in between (Even have Goats, Chickens & a children's play area too!)...definitely worth a visit!
Fully support the views about the apparent restrictions on chat box. I submitted a question about the state of play regarding Turnpike Field private discussions that hasn't seen the light of day!
Geraint, you are absolutely correct, more excitement and interest in the Obituaries Column of the Chronicle. Big Brother would not print my article on the St James Annual General Meeting (open to the public but with no voting rights unless signed onto the church roll)
In that meeting I raised two questions concerning, one, our financial position and two, the Safeguarding issues at the top of the C of E
Both my questions, raised at an open meeting, were deemed far too controversial for AoL and might have upset people, so not published.
I will have to tape a copy up in the Butter market which is fast becoming the only 'open source' apart from the pubs, in the village.
We required full fibre. Airband installed it and have proved reliable. Previous provider promised it but unable to deliver.
Try Nantwich Laptop shop ... the owner lives in the village and is very helpful.

I'm a happy Airband user – fibre right to the house – not the slower 'part fibre' offered to our address by other companies. Cheaper than BT and it's been very reliable. We're on Whitchurch Road near the edge of the village.
If you don't have any joy elsewhere message me via Audlem Online – I may be able to help depending on what the issue is.
I truly loved reading about the antics and topics of discussion by the ladies that recently enjoyed their afternoon tea! It was hilarious and well written as always by Stephanie. Please can we have next month's installment or whenever you're due to next meet up? Thank you!
Thanks to all for the suggestions re computer support. Will follow up
Expensive. You'll be better off with Vodafone
Try Julian at tech media. He does a lot of work in the village. 07759520738
Has anyone moved to this provider? Would be interested to know what you think of them?
Does anyone know someone who could help resolve problems with a laptop and the initial set up of one ? Thank you
Hi my name is Andrew longman and just wanted to reach out to people off audlem
We are a family run farm shop and cafe about 5 miles from audlem on the Nantwich Whitchurch Road in newhall Cw58dj
We have a free play area and support local producers where ever we can
Thanks regards Andy and Anne
There was a time when, after looking at AOL's home page for the latest reports and pictures of Audlem's numerous events, one could turn to Chatbox to gleen interesting comments and chatter about personal reactions to village life. The main Home page, and Buy and Sell pages are healthy and well but, sad to say, poor old Chatbox has been ailing for some time; nothing new since Steph's last apt comment a few days ago regarding the Muller planning application. Oh how I miss those amusing pieces, and even the grumpy complaints, that were interesting to glance at every morning. Does it need an injection of contributions?
Please can anyone personally recommend a local person/company to clean a carpet and arm chair. Thank you.
The proposed Muller development is out of scale with the existing built environment and would cause significant harm to the rural character and historic setting of Audlem. The development does not reflect the village's size, design heritage, or infrastructure capacity, and therefore conflicts with both national and local planning policies, particularly those aimed at protecting the character of rural communities.
I've just reported 4 blocked gulleys in Audlem using CEs new TRACE system.
My observations on the system, previously reported issues have not been ported across, no surprises there I guess.
I tried to report a poor repair and a small pothole. Couldn't see any option for poor road surface repair and they're not allowing pot holes less than 20mm deep to be reported.
My hopes weren't high, but see CE have fully met my expectations.
Hello
Hope you are keeping well?
I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be holding another gong sound bath tomorrow evening Thursday 24th July at
The Scout Hut, 7-8.15pm.
If you missed the last one and are interested please use the link to book your place on my website https://bookwhen.com/jenergyyogaandwellbeing/e/ev-szd0-20250724190000
In this session, we'll use the healing frequencies of gongs, tibetan bowls, chimes, and grounding instruments to guide you into a deep meditative state -- the kind where the mind lets go, the body unwinds, and your energy begins to reset itself without needing to "do" anything.
✨ No experience needed
✨ Just come as you are -- tired, curious, tender, open
✨ You can lay down, close your eyes, and receive
Sound has a way of reaching parts of us that words can't.
It's been incredibly supportive for many navigating stress, heaviness, or emotional overwhelm -- and also for those simply seeking a quiet, soul-nourishing pause from the noise of life.
If something in you feels curious or called -- you're so welcome to join. '
Please bring either a yoga mat or garden reclining chair to enjoy your experience. A blanket and cushion for under your head, some people like to bring an additional one for under your knees to feel totally at ease. You may also like to bring an eye mask or scarf to rest your eyes.
I look forward to seeing you soon and please feel free to contact me on 07773 103980
Have a wonderful day!
Jenny
SpeedWatch is seeking volunteers who can spare an hour a week to help monitor traffic in Audlem. Each monitoring session requires three volunteers to stand in designated locations approved by Cheshire Police, tracking the speed of vehicles entering and leaving the village.
A speed gun, generously provided by Audlem Parish Council, is used to check the speed of all vehicles passing through Audlem. Volunteers record details of vehicles exceeding the 30mph speed limit.
Conducting more speed checks benefits the entire community. These checks raise awareness among drivers passing through Audlem to adhere to the 30mph speed limit.
All volunteers are insured by Cheshire Police whilst monitoring traffic.
To expand the team, residents interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact us via email at gmacbrown@hotmail.com or call 07377623993.
Many thanks.
