Iain Findlay on Detectorists in Turnpike Lane Field
Has anyone else noticed the increasing numbers of circular (typically 30-40cm across) filled and unfilled holes on the field? I came across three groups of metal detectorists on the field on Saturday and suspect they are to blame. When approached, they claim to have permission to dig. I know they are just having a bit of fun, but the holes are a trip hazard, and the grass, when replaced on top of the filled holes, always dies and looks unsightly. Who has given this permission?

Jenny Probin on What is a Sound Bath ?
Hello , I have just read the query about what sonic sound is and just wanted to clarify it's a relaxing sound meditation that has sonic frequencies that our ears can hear, helping to restore your natural state of balance. I use gongs which send out these sonic frequencies that you may have not heard before which calms and rebalances the nervous system. Helping to gently detox the body at a cellular level of healing. Helping to slow down our thought process into a deeper meditative space to find peace and stillness. If you would like further information or have any further queries, please contact me 07773103980.
I currently have spaces for this experience and am looking forward to sharing this holistic modality with everyone.
If you haven't been to a sound bath before, then here is a little further information about what to expect. Arrive and lay on a mat or chair fully clothed , making sure you have blanket and cushions to feel really comfortable. Optional eye mask.
I play Tibetan singing bowls and a guided meditation, so you can feel relaxed into a meditative state Followed by a period of time where I play the gongs. I will then use grounding instruments to bring you out of the gong meditative space.
Many people feel relaxed during and after the experience and enjoy a great night's sleep.

Celia Bloor on Sonic sound
I was confused by this phrase-tautology? However my friend google says that sonic is in the audible range in contrast to subsonic or ultrasonic which are not audible to humans. I still dont know what the experience would be!
Jenny Probin on What is a Sound Bath ?
Hello Everyone
I hope you don't mind me adding a little more information about what Sound Healing is, if you haven't heard about it before. I'm really excited to be sharing Gong Sound Bath on Friday 27th June at The Public Hall.
The Science Behind Sonic Sound
Research has shown that sonic sound can have a profound impact on our bodies and minds. Here are some of the key findings:
Reduces stress and anxiety: Studies have found that listening to sonic sound can decrease cortisol levels, heart rate, and blood pressure, leading to a state of deep relaxation.
Pain relief: Sonic sound has been shown to reduce pain in patients with chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and even cancer.
Improves mood: The vibrations from sonic sound can increase the production of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine, leading to improved mood and reduced symptoms of depression.
Boosts immune system: Research has found that sonic sound can increase the production of antibodies, which help fight off infections and diseases.
Ways You Can Benefit from Sonic Sound?
With our increasingly demanding lifestyles, it's essential to find ways to manage stress and promote relaxation.
Here are some ways you can benefit from sonic sound:
Reduces stress and burnout: Sonic sound can help you relax and recharge, reducing the risk of burnout.
Improves sleep: Listening to sonic sound before bed can help improve sleep quality, leading to better rest and recovery.
Boosts energy: Sonic sound can increase energy levels and reduce fatigue, helping you power through your busy day.
Enhances self-care: Sonic sound can be a powerful tool for self-care, promoting relaxation, calmness, and inner peace.
Thank you for reading this post and look forward to meeting you on the 27th June. If you don't want to lay down on the floor, I invite you to bring a garden chair that you can recline, bring a blanket and cushion to get comfortable. Lay back, relax and just listen, that's all there is to it.

Jon Kay on Large deep pothole A529 Green Lane
Hi Chris.
After two drivers broke down in the early hours of Sat am, I called CEC's emergency number and they patched it that afternoon.
Quick service thankfully.
However, it was just a temp / emergency fix.
Shame every "fix" CEC does only lasts a few months. A sorry state of affairs which is needlessly wasting millions £ each year.
Chris Lewis on Large deep pothole A529 Green Lane
The large pot hole opposite my drive has been filled, but just looks like some asphalt slapped into the major part of the hole. No doubt the running water will soon erode the filling and we will be back to square one.. Hardly a case of a stitch in time.

Paul Barrett on Village Incident
3 youths all dressed in black apart from one dressed in very light coloured trousers passed our house last night ( 9th June) just after 8.35 pm and then returned shortly after and the youth in the light coloured trousers tried to kick our front door in. This youth had a light coloured logo on the front left side of their hoody.
After the door was kicked they ran away up Heathfield Road in the direction of the school.
We have contacted the police and sent them a full CCTV video of the incident together with a photograph of the 3 youths in the road just outside our house.
The police asked if anyone saw the three youths matching this description at around this time to contact them if you have any relevant information.
We know " Door kicking" incidents have been reported in the village before which also we believe involved 3 youths.
