Wendy Barrett on Thanks to everyone
To every single one of you who helped search for Dylan the naughty Toy Poodle who took off on his own day out yesterday 5th June. There were so many kind people who spent hours walking and driving round the village and it was a great comfort to know we weren't doing it on our own. Despite everyone's best efforts, he finally fetched himself within yards of home after 10 hours on his own adventure. Not a mark on him but tired and hungry. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you. We are so lucky to live in this wonderful village. Thank you.
Carrie de Silva on Cow Parsley
I grew up in rural Warwickshire and we also called cow parsley 'kek'.

Can anyone recommend a mortgage broker locally please
Celia Bloor on Parking Meter in village
We seem to be pushed into risk by the authorities. Only one car park per town is promised to take cash. I try to avoid using card for parking but not always easy.
Michael Parton on Parking Meter in village
I had my credit card scammed on Wednesday last week – it has taken seven days to resolve – however on speaking to their fraud department parking meters are a major problem in card fraud – fortunately I used the card which is mainly used for one off payments – there were not many entries on my card for the last month prior to the frauds – the only one that stood out was Ringo in the village and the cost was £0.97 – the fraud department felt that was the problem payment – they are having high fraud problems with parking meters in the country -please check your accounts regularly after using parking apps.

Peter Morgan on MTB track demolition
Many thanks Stephanie, for your brilliant expose' of the stupidity of Cheshire East who major in the art of ignoring their long-suffering taxpayers and find ever-new ways to waste our money whilst simultaneously ignoring the needs of our youngsters. Its strange to think that Crewe has produced some top BMX competitors who practice on extreme tracks in order to perfect the art of competition survival, yet CE cannot tolerate youngsters own creative abilities. With the growth of the village our young people need to be provided with a suitable means of recreation. The Turnpike with over 11acres of space should provide an area specifically for them.
As for the public liability issue, one answer could be the creation of a club that oversees the activity and undertakes its own form of liability in the form of a common acceptance of the risk by all parents involved, something that seems to be happening already. And the trees. Well CE again with liability issues in mind, are more adept at cutting them down to minimise risk to the public than preserving them. On Turnpike, following a required tree survey, we have had one oak tree cut down with no signs of rot in its trunk, it was merely 'in decline' and would have seen many years out and another, in the centre of the field, decimated to no good effect other than to uglify it. When councils employ arboreal experts, they have a vested interest in generating work and covering their backs.
Geraint Davies on Audlem Music & Arts Festival
I'd like to second Lynne's comments on the festival. I'm in awe at the vast amount of work that must go into organising such a huge and successful four day event. Brilliant work on the part of the organisers and all who helped. Very many thanks to them all.
Lynne Smith on Audlem Music & Arts Festival
A huge thank you to the committee for an excellent festival. Wonderful music, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful time. So much hard work goes into putting on this festival but it certainly paid off. This year's festival seemed to attract even bigger crowds with entertainment that catered for everyone. What a wonderful village we live in with so many people and businesses pulling out all the stops to put on an event like this. How lucky are we!
