The Tearoom at No. 11 is a brilliant place for breakfast. They do a great full English (go on their website for full menu choices). I would thoroughly recommend!
My favourite breakfast recommendations are Longmans farm shop, all week and the Shroppie fly at weekends
Can anyone recommend a good local venue to take house guests for a full English breakfast. Thank you.
Completely agree with Mike Butterley. William is incredibly impressive--he not only quickly diagnosed a simple blockage when we anticipated a bigger issue, but he also took photos to clearly explain the problem. His initiative to fix it on the spot showed his efficiency and professionalism.
Has anyone found a shopping bag with personal items possibly left a liitle over a week ago when loading my 6yr old grandson into his car seat. Would have been in Tollgate Drive. Definately has a macbook mains adaptor and a set of keys with a Birmingham Sealife Centre photo keyring. Thank you 07813 505064.
Re William of WHS Roofing & Guttering
Needing repairs to leaking guttering and having read the very positive reviews by a number of contributors to AOL regarding WHS I decided to contact him for a quote. Following the submission of a few photos at William's request I promptly received a detailed quotation for the work to be undertaken. Upon contacting him a date and time was agreed. The repairs were carried out effectively, the problem was resolved, on the date agreed, at the cost quoted. Very impressed with this pleasant, polite young man who was both professional in his dealings and thorough in his application to the job in hand.
We tried this service 4 times this week and it's been absolutely fantastic.
Updates are sent informing us both of what time we will be picked within the half hour window. Drivers are helpfull and in fact dropped us off outside house. I know some have been disappointed, but it's worth trying again.
Satisfied customers Rob& Dor.
I would like to say a huge thank you to the above groups. They go to such huge efforts to make each meeting interesting and fun. I am a companion to a lovely lady who lives in Audlem, her life has taken on a whole new lease of life since she has been attending these groups. I also enjoy them immensely. We have been on visits to Wales, a ride down the canal following a lovely meal at the Marina, craft classes, musical sessions and a whole lot more.
I know there are lots of spouses and /companions/carers, who find these groups invaluable and would be lost without them.
Laura, Tracey, Julia and Debs, along with the wonderful volunteers, too many to mention-just in case I miss someone off! They provide a fantastic service to the people of Audlem.
A HUGE THANK YOU!!
Thanks for the recommendation geraint – this was the person I needed
The person you're looking for is probably Steve O'Driscoll. His phone number is 07941553173 – steve5657@yahoo.co.uk
He is an excellent man – highly recommended. Geraint.
Can anyone recommend someone to repair/replace a lift ladder please
Hearing aid found near Charity Shop Saturday morning. Handed in at Williams Newsagents
So Cheshire East want to consult on the increases to parking charges/times. Has anyone tried to respond? It is not a straight forward process of clicking on a link just to make contact and will, no doubt/is designed to, put many people off. I get the impression that this is just a case of CE paying lip service to a supposedly democratic process and the result will, as usual, be a foregone conclusion.
Hi
I've been looking for the details of the odd job man who advertises on audlem on line but can't find his no now – can anyone please let me have his contact details
He is very reliable and helpful. He gets back to you quickly and does a very good job. We have had him do two jobs recently and I can't fault him. He even helped replace a roof tile for me as we couldn't lift it!
Following a recommendation on AOL we had work done by WHS ltd on our ancient guttering. He was very punctual and did a very good repointing job as well as sealing the guttering.
Highly recommended
Like Steve I am watching eagerly for some hope that the bus service will continue in some form.
Hello Geoff, Try Sally 07765 765669. Does a good job and is reasonably priced.
Geoff – I can heartily recommend Sally who trades as "The Nantwich Mole Catcher". Her number is 07765 765669, and her website is: https://nantwichmolecatcher.co.uk She provides a great service at a very reasonable cost.
Can anyone recommend a local mole catcher? Many thanks!
Hi can anyone recommend a builder / carpenter to build a media wall in my lounge .
Has anyone heard anything more about what's happening with Bus routes 72 & 73?
Apparently Cheshire East were trying to get another bus company to take over the routes for start September (which is 4 days away at the time of writing). School starts next Wednesday and no word yet.
I just wasted 30 mins calling both Cheshire East & D & G who either palmed me off elsewhere or said the services are not running. Have any more avid council watchers than me heard anything more official from the bottomless money pit yet still apparently broke organisation that is Cheshire East?
Given that only a third of the Parich Council are remaining, can they really be considered as quorate? And, why does a small village like Audlem actually need 12 councillors? Isn't it now a clear case of "Too many cooks spoil the broth."?!
Hi, Just to let you know that Elvis definately sang Sweet Caroline. Go onto U.Tube and you see him. That is why it is sung at most Elvis concerts. I was at the Marina on Sat. and WOW what a great time we all had listening to and watching Paul. He was fantastic as usual. Maureen Morgan.
Hi,
I have just been to Crewe recycling centre and found out that on bank holidays and weekends if you want to use the centre you need to go online and book a "visit slot ". This process is to stop queues building up at busy time, but only is you are aware. CE at its best
