







Audlem Zen Meditation Group started in 2017, but was stopped by Covid lockdowns. At last it has started up again, meeting on Monday evenings at 7:30.
Zen is a form of Buddhism that emphasises meditation as a part of daily life.
The Buddha lived 2500 years ago, but became widely known in the west only in the 20th century. The 'mindfulness' training that has become popular in recent years is mostly based on Buddhist practices, particularly zen.
To practise zen meditation you don't have to believe anything special, you just have to sit on a chair, bench or cushion – and pay attention!
