The year at Dorothy Clive

We are coming towards the end of another hugely successful year at the Dorothy Clive Gardens and we are celebrating being awarded "Highly Commended" in the " Small Visitor Attraction of the Year Awards" at the Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism Awards earlier this month. Our curator Kathryn Robey was honoured to receive the award and said that we have plans to be even better next year.

Glorious Gardens

October and November have been stunningly beautiful months in the garden with the autumn colours in abundance. As the leaves fall the Winter Garden is coming into its own. Many winter shrubs are already flowering spreading their scent around the Quarry. The Gardens are now definitely a 'year-round' attraction. In the new year we will be looking forward to seeing the carpets of snowdrops and crocuses signalling that Spring is on its way.

Celebrating 60 years

2018 is going to be a very busy year. The Dorothy Clive Garden became a charitable trust 60 years ago so we shall be celebrating by organising special events throughout the year so keep your eyes on our "What's on" page on our website.

60th Birthday Membership Offer

We are offering a special £5 winter membership which will give you access to the garden and tearooms at weekends over the winter season( Until 15th March 18), we have also introduced a special full year membership price of just £17 per person (normally £27). We want more people to come and see how glorious the Dorothy Clive garden is at any time of the year.

Wonderful Workshops

Arts, crafts, gardening and cookery workshop continue to be a highlight. In the new year we shall be holding workshops on Bee Keeping for Beginners, Indian Cookery, Design your own border, Soils, Bread Making, Spring Water Colour Painting, Machine free flow embroidery and Bunting workshops to name just a few. Christmas Shopping

Our newly extended gift shop is full of beautiful Christmas gifts including vouchers which make excellent presents for those hard to buy for individuals. Vouchers can be redeemed against workshops, entry or in the tea rooms. Consider the gift of membership for a friend as a present to be enjoyed all year.

Weddings in the garden

The Dorothy Clive Garden has been licenced for weddings for just over a year and we already have bookings for 2018 and even 19! If you are looking for a unique venue for your wedding whether it's a small gathering of family and friends or a larger wedding in a marquee then come and have a look at our beautiful venue. We have wedding packages on our website starting at £495.
