A reminder of what should be a wonderful event on Friday night. WWII Dance 11/11/11 tickets are still available.

As regular readers will know, to commemorate Armistice Day this year falling on 11/11/11 and 90 years of the Royal British Legion, Audlem Special Events Team (ASET) is organising a WWII Dance.

The Trent River Big Band will be playing dance classics from the 1940’s so get out your glad rags, or seamed stockings, and get “In the Mood” for a night to remember.

#Please note -   Period dress is entirely optional. Dancing is not compulsory either. Just come along and soak up some of the best 1940's music.

Doors will open at 7.15pm for anyone wishing to view a short film portraying Audlem lives during the war years, produced by the Audlem 5A Drama Group (25 minutes).

Music starts at 8.00pm prompt.

A bar will be available and tickets are just £8.00 from Audlem Post Office.

More information is available at info@aset-audlem.org or telephone 01270 811211

During the day on 11/11/11, ASET are staging a very special exhibition for children and adults in the Public Hall from 10.30am until 4.00pm when the hall will then be prepared for the evening's dance. The exhibition will feature the 25-minute Audlem lives film by the 5As.
