You may think that it's been hot over here – but it's nothing compared with other parts of the world! Audlem man, Colin Seddon, who is currently working in Iraq where temperatures regularly hit 48 degrees or more during the day (that's 118.4 degrees Farenheit in old money – phew!) was interviewed by BBC Radio 5 Live yesterday.

Colin, who works for the Met Office, explained that in Iraq they experience a very dry heat whereas the heat facing us in Britain is much more humid which in turn makes it feel so stiflingly hot. But when asked whether this meant that he and his colleagues didn't get all hot and sweaty he admitted "I wouldn't go that far!"
