Who says recycling has to be boring? Well not at Hoc’s Fat Pigeon. Upstairs there's a whole floor of locally produced clothing, soft furnishings and gifts.

You will find 'Make do Make better' providing recycled, affordable bespoke fashion is an innovative design-led label.  A love and belief in making use of quality materials, creating individuality, a design concept which led Vogue to describe this process as ‘high fashion street couture’.

Everything produced by 'Make do Make better' is recycled from the best quality second hand clothing, deconstructed, re-cut and completely transformed into a new product that belies the former identity of, or revamps the original garment.

All garments are made locally from either recycled, fair trade, organic or ethically produced materials.

Creating a unique fashion trend, timeless, original designs with the individual as the focus 'Make do Make better' ensure no two garments are the same – they can be cut from the same original or pattern but the raw materials will always be different.

Off The Peg made to original designs and a Made To Order premium service ‘Wardrobe Surgery’ where customers bring their own clothes in for transformation.  Everything produced by 'Make do Make better' is recycled and promoting ethical consumerism. Creating a unique fashion trend creating timeless original designs and offering a bespoke service to customers.

Also, you will find soft furnishings and gifts designed and made by Kirstie for that something different, and also embroidered gifts from Val Machin crafts, hand crafted wooden thumb sticks and whistles and much more.

Pop in to the Fat Pigeon in Cheshire Street – you will be surprised.
