Pete Marshall, the Chairperson of the Fun-ky coordinating team has contacted Audlem Online with the following message:-

"Following on from the various comments and reports on Fun-ky 06, I would like to say well done and thanks to all in the Fun-ky team. For those who don't know, the Fun-ky team is made up of an umbrella group of representatives from the various young people groups as well as other like minded people from Audlem.

These stalwarts have met on a regular basis all year to plan the logistics of the weekend as well as their own individual events and activities. But that is only part of the team as each of these events and activities then relies on further volunteers who pitch in with help and expertise before and during the weekend. These are people of all ages in the village from children to teenagers to adults. This makes Fun-ky a true community event and one only has to be there to see this in practise. There is no better example of this than the free barbeque that finishes the weekend off on Sunday. In their recent report I would say the 3 churches where a bit modest about how big a part they play.

So a big pat on the back to everyone and special thanks to the Parish Council and ADAS for their financial support and ASET for their marquees that appear and disappear on demand. Many other local organisations, businesses and individuals have lent their support and sponsorship in one way or another and Fun-ky could not happen without you.

Thanks again and see you all next year."
