Next Wednesday afternoon, in the Canal Shop on Audlem Wharf, an exhibition is being held to describe the new Weaver Way and the Weaver Valley Park. Audlem is the southern gateway to the Weaver Way, a new footpath and cycleway that will run from the village via Nantwich, Barbridge, Middlewich, Northwich and Frodsham to the banks of the Mersey in the north of Cheshire.

The display will explain the concept behind the Weaver Valley Park and the long-term benefits this will bring. Regular readers will recall that the Park was originally to extend from Frodsham to Nantwich but, after pressure from Audlem Online and local newspapers, the boundary was extended southwards to include Audlem.

The exhibition starts at 1.00pm and runs through the afternoon. It is organized by Groundwork on behalf of the Weaver Valley Park and is being staged courtesy of Peter and Christine Silvester of the Canal Shop. It is, of course, also an ideal opportunity to look around the shop which re-opened a couple of months ago.
