As you know, Audlem is the southern gateway to the Weaver Valley regional park and progress is being made with this initiative all the way upstream to Frodsham. The Weaver Valley team based at Cheshire County Council have just commissioned some community consultation work for Audlem – they want to hear from you and listen to your ideas for projects for the future of Audlem so that the Weaver Valley could help achieve them. The results of your local input will contribute to a "spatial framework" for the regional park area, so it's important that Audlem has its voice heard. For more background information on the Weaver Valley initiative go to:

To make this process easy, environment consultant Chris Mahon and colleagues will be active in the village, promoting the consultation over the next six weeks or so. You can contact Chris directly with your comments and ideas on chris@cmeweb.co.uk">chris@cmeweb.co.uk or via his website www.cmeweb.co.uk (The website link that was here no longer works) or you can use the suggestions box in the post office. There are plans afoot to give everyone an opportunity to pitch in their ideas, so also watch out for:
· the Weaver Valley display at the Music and Arts Festival (23/24/25th May) the Floating Garden (7th and 8th June) and other local events
· a Weaver Valley presentation and question time at the Audlem Annual Village Meeting on 11th June
· a short questionnaire for you to complete (with a reward for doing so!)
· notices/information on the village noticeboards
· the new Weaver Valley information leaflet to be found around the village
· a workshop to explore project ideas and identify opportunities and barriers towards achievement.
If anyone would like more information or would like to discuss a potential project idea, Chris Mahon can be contacted by the above means or by phone on 01270 569562 or 07860 856952.
