The weather may have been as bad as it could be, but the bands played on. Blues Alley moved inside the Combermere with Jim Kirpatrick and Chris Cook providing the entertainment.

Down at the Shroppie, the afternoon saw a full programme of entertainment where a highlight was the Congleton based Carly B's Awesome Funk Collective. They love to party and had the festival rocking. The 10-piece band are renowned for their attitude to all things groovy and the band's awesome energy had everyone yelling for more.

As well as well-known Carl Brunsdon- leader of the band and on sax – the rhythm section was outstanding while there was a stunning performance from vocalist Rachel Cook and the wonderful brass section. Whenever the Funk Collective comes back to Audlem, be there – you'll love every minute!

The crowd stayed on to enjoy theatre courtesy of Audlem's Day Star Theatre with Pete and Jane Marshall in fine form, with the audience giving every assistance as their occasionally mischievous tales unravelled.
