We have had a generally positive reaction to the article about the "military" wedding last week at St James' Church, but several chatbox contributors have asked why other weddings have not been more of a feature on Audlem Online.

The webteam are more than happy to put articles about weddings in the village onto the website, especially when accompanied by good photographs, but the restricting factor is really us knowing about these events when they occur and then the time involved in putting up the articles and photographs.

We would be delighted to welcome a new member of the webteam with the specific role of "weddings correspondent". We can provide the technical means of access to the website so that articles and photographs can be directly placed onto Audlem Online.

This would not be restricted to weddings at St James, of course, but we would probably not usually feature weddings which take place outside the Audlem area.

If you would like to join the webteam in such a role, we would be delighted to hear from you – please use the "contact us" facility on the website, or talk to Bob Cartwright, Pam Seddon, John Gunstone or myself if you prefer.
