The village in flood – latest 1.00pm

1.00pm Friday – not much happening and some quite large vehicles are squeezing through.

9.30am Friday – Shropshire Street officially closed. Actually there is space for small cars to get through (probably illegally). Nobody apparently working on site.

10 pm Thursday – The latest news is that the road will probably be closed until Saturday at least.

5pm Thursday – We now understand that Shropshire Street is closed to through traffic outside the barbers
Please let us know when this situation changes.

Also apparently residents of the Windmill estate have no water.

This was the scene in the centre of the village, at the bottom of Windmill Drive, this morning.Several lumps of the surface have apparently "exploded" from the road.
