Our gardens are parched and we are advised to use our precious water wisely. What is called Grey water used water from our sinks and baths can often be used to keep our plants alive. There are good tips around, advising us to water, evenings and early morning, consider using trays under pots and cut some circular discs from old plastic bags and place one around the base of the stem of favourite plants to enable moisture to be retained in the soil. The discs can be used year after year, like mine in the greenhouse.
We can see the many trees and plants are suffering in the dry conditions, naturally trees have a defence mechanism, if there is insufficient water in the soil to maintain the leaf structure, they loose some leaves and their fruit. The trees are not dying just conserving their energy.

There will be our free range eggs, apple juices and local honey as well. Cakes--- come early-- Cakes will be orange drizzle, Victoria sandwich and apple ginger cake – it's both fat free and preventing apple waste
