The ADAPT team is planning a Community Apple Pressing event next week, contingent on sufficient interest. If you'd like to participate, please indicate your interest by emailing chris_knibbs@hotmail.com. Watch for further instructions if the event proceeds.
This week is Damson Week, and the hedgerow crop is ripening beautifully under the late summer sun. Freshly picked damsons will be available at the market. In addition, early season apples are now carpeting the ground, so if you have apples ready to be turned into juice, express your interest via the survey button provided.
The market will operate at its usual time from 10am to noon. Among the offerings this week will be freshly pressed apple juice, stringless and purple beans, Discovery and James Grieve apples, herbs, dahlias, sweet peas, honey, free-range eggs, a specimen blackcurrant plant, and redcurrant jelly. Also available will be cakes, jam, and courgettes.
Come and enjoy the variety of local produce and support the community initiatives.
