Twas a Lllovely week before Christmas

Twas the week before Christmas,
And through Lllovely's door,
There was something occurring,
With chocolates galore.
The baubles were hung,
With red ribbons, for there
Was a man dressed in red,
Who with envy would stare.
And whilst children were nestled,
All snug in their beds,
Lllovely visions of chocolate trees,
Danced through their heads.
Below in the kitchen,
There arose such a clatter,
"There's a week left till Christmas!
That's what's the matter!"
And away went the father,
He flew off like a flash,
For he now had a mission,
And like Rudolph he'd dash.
Though in his old banger,
The gear shifts would stick,
And the father would plead
For a sleigh from St.Nick!
He raced down the lane,
Pushing thirty per hour,
Knowing fully this rate,
From his wife he must cower.
And he shuddered to think,
That she'd call out his name,
On the night before Christmas,
"It's you that's to blame!"
"Not Dasher, or Dancer
Or Prancer, or Vixon!
But come Christmas day,
I'll be ready to Blitzen!"
And suddenly he stopped,
He immediately knew,
That whilst daydreaming fears,
His wish had come true!
Not for sleigh bells of course,
For Santa needs those,
To keep up with demands,
Christmas Eve is too close.
But the lights in the courtyard,
They sparkled so bright,
And through Lllovely's window,
He spotted a light!
And from that moment on,
He knew what to do,
"Why I'll pop into Lllovely,
for a chocolate or two!"
His eyes, how they twinkled,
His dimples how merry,
When seeing the delights,
of a brandy soaked cherry!
Of Ginger spiced truffles,
And chocolate fire engines,
He cooed and he mulled,
Over chocolate selections.
And upon his return,
He had on his back,
What would seem like a bundle
Of toys in a sack.
And he spoke not a word,
As he crept passed his wife,
But he gave her a nod,
For he valued his life.
He sprang into action,
Placing gifts out of sight....
"Merry Christmas from Lllovely,
and to all a good night!!"
