Turnpike Calor Gas Grant -- Real Progress

Some time ago you will remember that the Working Group made an application for a £1000 grant from the Calor Rural Community Fund to help pay for the fencing required to meet the Elf and Safely requirements of the Turnpike Ponds!

Only because of the determined efforts of the people who managed to navigate the less than intuitive Calor website, and 'LIKED' and 'SHARED' our application, are we are now through to the Final!!
Apparently there were 590 applications and we are one of the 42 finalists – so many thanks to all those who supported us.

This year, to tie in with Calor's 85th birthday, they're giving away £85,000 with 22 main grants:- 5 x £1,000, 6 x £2,500, 11 x £5,000.
AND £500 to all 20 of the remaining finalists who don't win one of the main grants.

So, we've definitely achieved a £500 contribution for the fences and a 10% chance of a further £500 as there are 10 finalists in our group.

All we can now do is to keep our fingers crossed. However, should you wish, then feel free to exercise any religious or pagan rituals that may mysteriously help influence the Calor judges to choose us as a winner!!
