Turnpike Field Pond Fencing

Anyone walking in the field on Monday would have noticed activity around the pond nearest to the brook. You may remember that one of the conditions imposed on us for the free provision of the two wildlife ponds was that they must be securely fenced off – health and safety of course!

Work has now started and should be completed in a few days. At least it was decided to use timber to create a picket fence, rather than the cheaper, but uglier solution of galvanised stock fencing – something that in any case is easily climbed by small people.
