Turnpike Field Parking This weekend

This weekend is a busy one for Audlem as the 20th annual Audlem Festival of Transport takes place. The event is growing in popularity each year with around 330 vintage cars, vans, trucks and buses parading from Hankelow to Audlem- not to mention the 100's of people who descend on Audlem to witness this event!!

Additionally, the annual Gathering of Historic Boats is also occurring. This event is now one of the most popular gatherings of historic ex-working boats in Britain, having started in 2009. There should be at least 30 narrow boats, dating from the 1900s through to 1960. These fascinating boats will stretch all the way from the Whitchurch Road bridge past Audlem Mill.

As a result of these events, Turnpike Field will be open, for car parking only, from Thursday through to Monday with overnight parking being permitted.

Please note that there is No Camping and there are No Facilities. All visitors to the car park are asked to park on the left hand side when entering- towards the Whitchurch Road pedestrian entrance, where the grass has been recently cut.
