The Big Tree and the Little Trees  The Big Christmas Tree, which is the centre point of the Audlem Christmas Display, has been harvested and on Saturday next – the 19th -,it will be erected with the help of Jonathan Gleave .

The members of the ADAS committee will over the next few days be hard at it fitting lights on some 50 small trees to place on the various locations around  the village – a hard finger numbing task. The big tree will be dressed with around 5000 lights (with the help of a Cherry Picker loaned free from a very generous sponsor) by Mike Haines with Pete (Mumbles) Hollinshead driving the Picker.

Phil Baker is the wizard electrician who will fire up the lights as we test ahead of the Big Switch On – 24th November.

All time given by everybody totally free and for which we in ADAS are eternally grateful.

#The Rainband
A major extra to the Big Switch on Night is that at 9.30pm in the Lord Combermere , we have the very, very special  Rainband playing – along with a potential appearance from Rowetta from X factor. This is a warm up gig for the Rainband before they play on the pitch at the Man city v Norwich game on the 3rd Dec – and a gig in Manchester where they have already sold 700 tickets at the Ritz.

It is a really big deal for this band to be here in Audlem – arranged by our own "Simon Cowell" ( Reuben Palin) – and a band that is well on the up in the world of music.
