Audlem Online has been contacted by parents who wish to make a point about the playground: "Has anyone raised the issue of the poor access to the children's playground, especially with a pushchair? With winter well upon us, the wet weather has certainly paid its toll. This, with the combination of the now regular football matches, has made accessing the play area very hazardous and difficult indeed. I personally speak on behalf of my aging mother who regularly cares for our daughter who, despite the much needed equipment upgrades, is unable to utilise the facilities."

"As a civil engineer, the relatively simple and inexpensive solution would be to construct a brick retaining wall, minor associated earthworks and some basic pathing."
