Ralph Warburton writes: "Some of you may be aware that I am the manager of the Audlem Cemetery. It is in that context that I send this for your interest.

"A person I know quite well was discussing the way one goes at the end of life – burial or cremation – with me. As we talked, this person told me that her young son had asked questions recently.

He asked "Will you die before Daddy? You must be old so when you die, will you be buried? "

She said: "No, I wish to be cremated and my remains to be placed in a nice spot."

"Where would you like to be put?" he asks quite seriously.

"Well, where do you think I would like to be put finally?"

After a moments thought, he said: " At NEXT – because you like going there."

"Out of the mouths of the young! One can imagine the quizzical look on the manager's face!"
